{"id":461,"date":"2010-02-12T05:03:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-12T05:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mrmaresca.com\/wp\/?p=461"},"modified":"2010-02-12T05:03:00","modified_gmt":"2010-02-12T05:03:00","slug":"infested-with-brain-buzzes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mrmaresca.com\/wp\/infested-with-brain-buzzes\/","title":{"rendered":"Infested with Brain Buzzes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartFragment-->  <\/p>\n<p>My brain is always buzzing with ideas.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">  <\/span>Else I wouldn\u2019t be a writer, and there wouldn\u2019t be much point to this whole thing, would there?<\/p>\n<p>But sometimes, even when I need to be focusing my creative energy on something specific (in the case of here and now, working on Maradaine Constabulary), the Brain Buzzes go crazy and it\u2019s nigh impossible to work on what I should.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">  <\/span>Until I spend a little bit of time cultivating the New Idea, it\u2019s not going to leave me alone.<\/p>\n<p>Usually cultivation involves a bit of worldbuilding, character creation or outlining.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">  <\/span>I do some notes, and that\u2019s usually enough to quiet my brain, set those ideas in the back of my head to ferment into something more cohesive, and get back to work. <\/p>\n<p><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p>This week, though, there\u2019s been a LOT of Brain Buzzing.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new idea I\u2019ll just call The Heroine Project for now.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">  <\/span>It\u2019s little more than a vague idea.<\/li>\n<li>Reworking the history of Banshee-verse to expand the exploration of our solar system. I blame watching Defying Gravity for this one.<\/li>\n<li>Finishing the scripts for Triple Cross.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So I\u2019ll be working on those things, hopefully that will quiet the buzzing.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--EndFragment--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My brain is always buzzing with ideas.
